Display whole content of posts in page

    Hello,

    I want to display whole content of posts in a page, instead of display post titles only. Because do not have many nor often to post.

    Is this the right plugin?

    I have a post on front page and want to keep it as is on front page. All other new posts to be displayed on a page with your plugin (shortcode). Is that works?

    Please advise. Thanks in advanced!

    Absolutely, you can do that.

    Check this thread and it has instructions for how to show the_content instead of the_excerpt.

    Thank you for quick response Eric.

    I installed the plugin. It works on default template, but does not exist when I select “Page of Posts” template for the page.

    I do not know how it’s look like about the Page of Posts, but this template sounds right for the post content and layout thought.

    How can the shortcode page works on Page of Posts template?

    I’m not sure what you mean here. What theme are you using? It sounds like the Page of Posts choice might be theme-specific?

    I’m using Twenty Eleven theme. I can see there are 4 templates option under Page Attributes for Page editor:

    Default Template
    Page of Posts Template
    Showcase Template
    Sidebar Template

    I do not have theme-specific installed. When I select Page of Posts Template, the shortcode does not pull any posts to the page. Instead, the page shown “Nothing Found.
    Apologies, but no results were found for the requested archive. Perhaps searching will help find a related post.”

    Okay, got it.

    The Page of Posts template seems to be this:

    Is that right? I don’t see it in the default Twenty Eleven theme.

    The Page of Posts template is a custom theme template that works differently than the default page.

    So, to use Posts in Page, you’ll want to most likely use the Default template.

    It seems you are right the Page of Posts template in my child theme. But not sure why I have this.

    The Default template displays post title with link and short content without image, and looks ugly. Is it normal?
