  • Hi Mike,

Bowe Codes is a BuddyPress plugin

there’s a shortcode to list BuddyPress members (up to 20) with their avatars.

There’s a shortcode to display 1 BuddyPress member with his avatar and profile infos.

    Hi,
Actually I am looking for the same thing.
The Bowe Code [bc_member] shows the details of a member allright, but I would be looking for the “logged-in” member.
So, is there a way to fill in the “name” item in Bowe Codes dynamically?

    Thanks,
    Burnardo

    Hi @burnardo

I’ve seen your comment on my blog, i think the best is to create your very own shortcode using the built-in “bowe codes API” (since version 2.0 of the plugin).

Thanks for your interest in this plugin

    Great Imath,

Your help is very much appreciated.
I will implement and use the suggested code ASAP.

    regards, Burnardo

    Yeeeaaah…., thanks Imath,

Your suggested code works like a charm. Adjustments to change depicted Xprofile items are also easy with this code.

Thanks very much for your kind help, love the plugin…

    great work by the way

This is exactly what I have been looking for for ages! Thank you for your solution! In addition to this, how would you dynamically fill in the “logged in user” field to be the post author?

Is it possible to build up the random members widget by adding in a “Profile Field Name” there as well?

This would allow your blog to show the random member with the information the user entered, almost like a feature for a business build or dating site.

    So for instance:

    Avatar
    Name
    Business name
    Website
    Address
    Info.

Fields of course removed for the opt-out
