Display top 10 posts on home page with post image

Hi, I’m having real trouble with this and i’ve tried searching everywhere.
I want to display the top 10 rated posts on my home page with the posts featured image next to each one and i’m at a loss.

Please can anyone help with the specific code to be used in the theme?
