Display thumbnails in order of time posted

Hi Hackworth, you can use the following to organize your CataBlog.

Example: [catablog sort=”date” order=”desc”]

The following provides more information about the different tags you can use.

Order: choose which direction to sort your catalog
The order option lets you set the direction your catalog items will be sorted in. There are two acceptable values for this option are asc and desc, ascending and descending respectively.

Sort: sort your catalog by a specific field
The sort option lets you set the order your catalog items will be displayed, particularly which field they will be sorted by. This value should be one of these four values: title, date, menu_order or rand. Currently non of the other catalog item values can be used to sort, this may change in a future version.

Thanks for the info, but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything. I’ve tried both asc and desc and it displays the same.

This is what I have with idea being the newest showing first. Right now the oldest is first.

[catablog_gallery id=”4862″ template=”gallery” limit=”45″ sort=”date” order=”desc”]

Hi try the following.

[catablog_gallery id=”4862″ limit=”45″ sort=”date” order=”desc”]

Let me know what happens.

It did not change the order. I tried “asc” and it did not change it either.

It changed the layout because there was no gallery template.

Just for testing purposes can you try the following.

[catablog limit=”45″ sort=”date” order=”desc”]

That changed the order. I put the other short codes in, and everything is displaying correctly. Thanks for the help.
