• Hi,

I’m using the code from the library, in auto-insert or shortcode form, but it doesn’t work. Is it because of Elementor?

    Thx.

    Hi @soylaostia,

That should work regardless of the plugin you are using – one thing to check is if the snippet is active as even in shortcode mode you can activate/deactivate the snippet and when deactivated it will not output anything.

The shortcode is in the footer, is activated, cached flushed, with or without css. I check in dev tools and the elementor widget that contain the shortcode is there, but no date, just a blank space. Check it here: https://ai4k.eu/content/ai-website-builders-pros-and-cons/

    Hi @soylaostia,

I see, it might be that the shortcode is not able to get the current page/post object to load the dates for it.

I believe you are adding the shortcode in the footer? The global $post object might not be available there and that’s why nothing is displayed.

Can you please try adding the shortcode at the end of the post/page content to see if that works?

I tried with shortcode and auto insert, nothing.

Sorry about the confusion, I was suggesting to try placing the shortcode in another location. That shortcode needs to be placed in the context of a post/page and placing it in the footer might not work.

Please reach out using the form at https://wpcode.com/contact and we can help further debug this to find a solution.

I tried the shortcode and auto insert in the post as well.
