Display Sub Category Descriptions

I am using the Restaurant Menu by Motopress and purchased the toppings plugin (not yet installed). In the beginning states of design and I am stuck. I need to be able to display the category and sub category descriptions.

Under “BREAKFAST PLATES” (a sub category of “BRIELLE’S BREAKFAST MENU”) for example, I have the description “No substitutions on plates. Meat Choices: Four (4) slices of bacon or two (2) peices of sausage or a mix.” This description does not display at all.

On other items I will need the main category description to display.

Any way to force these descriptions to display?
