Display static page if database is down

    Is there any way to display a static page instead of the error message if the database is down?

    I’ve converted the static content at my site to pages in WP 1.5, but mysql occasionally goes down on my server. When that happens, I’d like visitors to see a static page with alternate content instead of an error message.

    Find function wpdb in wp-includes\wp-db.php

    This is where the error message comes from when it can’t connect to the DB. You could easily do something there.
