• Hi,

    my website’s page/site titles look like this: “Website Name | Some SEO Title”
    But I would like them to look like this: “Some SEO Title | Website Name”

    I think this could also be a wordpress default setting that I have no idea where or how to change, but if it because of Yoast’s SEO plugin, then please give me some advice on how to change this.

    The site title only appears when viewing an actual page, but not in the plugin (settings) itself, which makes me even more believe that this is because of wordpress settings.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

  • It because of WordPress SEO by Yoast’s plugin. Go to

    Dashboard ->> SEO ->> Titles & Metas ->> change Homepage Title Template.

    You can also Change other titles and metas by going there
    Dashboard ->> SEO ->> Titles & Metas ->>

    You may do better asking this in the Yoast plugin forums.
    There is bound to be a filter which process the title, presumably you will be able to intervene there.

    Shahriar, what precisely do you mean by “change Homepage Title Template”?

    The problem remains unsolved, looking for more help.

    Change in WordPress SEO by Yoast’s plugin’s Snippet(it shows when you post,page,category etc. publish) –

    Your Article Title | Your Page Title

    or Put the code on your template header

    <title><?php
    	/*
    	 * Print the <title> tag based on what is being viewed.
    	 */
    	global $page, $paged;

    	wp_title( '<?php the_title(); ?> | Your Page Title ', true, 'right' );
    	?></title>

    Edit – Your Page Title
