    Hi,

    I have the problem that in my forum users post their shortcodes to get help.

    The big problem is that in the settings are only the options to execute the shortcode or to hide it. Is there a way to only display it?

    Best regards,
    Michael

    Hi @mdempfle,
    Please provide an example shortcode.

    Thread Starter mdempfle

    (@mdempfle)

    e.g. [advanced_iframe src=”//tinywebgallery.com” height=”100%” width=”500″]

    I want that the shortcode itself is displayed. Not that it is executed. Right now I only see the shortcode when I edit a post.

    Best regards,
    Michael

    Hi,

    Please read my requirement again. I do not like that the shortcode is executed! I want the shortcode itself is displayed

    Like [advanced_iframe src=”//tinywebgallery.com” height=”100%” width=”500″] should be shown! The shortcode above would render an iframe if executed. This is NOT what I want. My users post their shortcodes to show me what they have configured.

    Best regards,
    Michael

    @mdempfle,
    Try inserting the Shortcodes in the Text Editor by Using Code Option of the Editor, Press on Code Button, insert the shortcode in it and press ok.

    I need a solution where I do not have to give my forum users instructions how to do it.

    you should have an option do display shortcodes only and not executed it. Or not simply to hide it. Can you maybe give the code I can modify to fix this?

    Best regards,

    @mdempfle,
    Disable WordPress Shortcodes in Post Content option, then delete wpForo cache from Dashboard > Forums > Dashboard, press Delete All Cache Button and try again.

    @gvectorsdevs This does not change anything. If I do this the shortcode is completely hidden.

    Best regards,

    @mdempfle,
    It works fine on our forums, you can test it on wpforo.com. So I think this is a conflict with other plugins. First, try to deactivate wpForo addons if you have, then check others. After each deactivation, you should create a new post to see a correct test ressult. Don’t check old posts.
