• On my static main homepage it initially
    displayed no products.

However, when I went into woocommerce settings>display and
chose to display items as products
all the products I’d set up appeared on the page as expected.

However, now I want to get rid of
these products totally again so they aren’t showing on the main static
Page. I would have thought in a sane world this could easily be done but I can’t reset/remove
    in the display settings.

    Any ideas?

  • Make a new page called “Shop”. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Products tab > Display and set the Shop page drop down to your new Shop page. Your Shop page does not have to be linked from anywhere if you don’t want anyone to see it. Your home page should now be free of WooCommerce stuff.

    Thanks.

My mistake was thinking you could use the page selection dropdown in display to apply a copy of the shop to each and every page you wanted. Didn’t realise you had to choose only one page to apply the shop to. Moved it from the front page now which is great.

    Thanks again
