Display referrer information to user?

Hello, I’m trying to implement a feature to display referrer information to the user when they load the page.

Something like “Welcome visitor from <URL>”, so if they came from google it would say google, or if they came from another blog it would say that blog domain.

Would the WP Statistics Rest API be able to do this easily? On a static front page, the page contents would have the welcome message, something like that.
