Hi, the plugin has been set up in this manner to protect the user login credentials.

    For example:

If someone tries to log in as Bob and his guess was wrong, it would defy the purpose of having this security feature enabled if Bob’s real e-mail address was revealed. IMHO

    Revealed to whom???
to the admin of the website??

I do not understand why it is bad????

As the amdin of the website, I want to know who tries to log in and to hack my website and what login they try to enter…

It is not more simple. Please, could you enable that feature?

So it would be really helpful to give information about it.

Sorry I think I read your question incorrectly. Are you referring to the information displayed on the back end?

Yes sure, information displayed at the backend of course !!!!!!!!!

I am talking of displaying information on the table of Failed Connexion, in the admin table!

Could you please consider it and add it to the plugin at the next release?

Yes I understand what you mean. The plugin developers will investigate further your request.

When a user try to hack or connect with a bad email/username, instead of displaying this_is_an_invalid_emailXXXXXXXXX, would it be possible to display the real email/username that the user tried to enter !!

Can you please explain exactly which menu page and scenario you are referring to?

The reason I am asking is because I know for a fact that the “Failed Login” list table will display the “username” which was used during the failed login attempt.

I am not aware of anywhere in the code where this plugin will display “this_is_an_invalid_email”.

    Hello,

Yes, it is in the table of “Failed Login” list table.

    Then the table display :

Login IP Range User ID Username Date
    84.1XX.6X.* 0 this_is_an_invalid_email1XXX 2016-07-21 20:59:57

    XXXXX display some random numbers…

    Do you have an idea?

Could it be another plugin used for register/login users that puts some information here?

    I’m not sure.
Maybe it is an automated script bot which is trying to login to your site using various values.
I definitely know that the AIOWPS plugin is not the one inserting the string “this_is_an_invalid_email” for the username.
