Display posts on main page

  • Hello everyone,

    First, I want to apologize if this subject has already been treated (I looked and didn’t find, too much information and I got confused).

    So, I’m very new to wordpress and I started a new theme for the first time.
    Ok, what I want for my theme would be to display automatically the latest blog post (no image) AND the latest work (with a thumbnail of the featured image) on the index page.

    As I have absolutely no idea on how to create a portfolio section on the admin panel, I guess I will have to create two post categories and try to display both on main page in two different loops (right ?)

    Then, I would like to create a gallery of three projects per page.

    Thank you for your help guys, I’m lost !

    I’m not sure what you want me to check. Is there a special part of that page that would interest me, or are you saying I will get my answer by reading the whole thing ?
