• Hello,

I have about 11,000 posts, half of which I have populated in a custom field called “Order Number”. Is there an easy way for me to run a query to display only those posts that have not been populated yet so that I can “fix” them? Perhaps it would be an easier task to be asked in a MySQL forum? I thought I would ask here first since my order number data is contained in the post itself so it is easier for me to do a cut and paste from WordPress instead of messing around with MySQL.

    Regards,
    Jon

  • You can certainly create a query to display all posts without the custom field, but I think it is still a very big job to enter all those fields manually.

I might be able to create a template that you could assign to a page that would automatically add the custom field if the order number data can be identified in the post. Email me at mac =at= mcdspot =dot= com with the text from a post and I will give it a shot.
