Display Posts from A Single Category In multiple Pages

    Hello team,
    I am using “Custom community 1.17.3.1” theme on My WP site.I have many “news-letter”/ posts in one category. I am displaying them in One page. The newer ones are at the top and older ones are at the bottom of the page. Now, I want to display 20 newer posts in Page one. the older ones go to page two, three…I try to make sure that updates are always on the PAGE 1. I did lots research and I can not figure out how to do this? please help? thank you

    Have you limited the number of posts per page in settings ? reading?

    Yes, I limited 30 Posts in Page#1.
    1) the newest is on the top of the post.
    2) I do not know how to organize the older posts at the moment?
    3) My plan is old posts will automatically get on page 2,3… base on dates.
    please advise?

    I want to display 20 newer posts in Page one.

    Change the posts per page to 20, and WP will put older posts onto page 2 and so on. Posts running in descending date order is the default behavior.

    1) I limited 20 posts on Page one.
    2) I created page Two, I also limited 20 posts on this page.
    3) I checked the front of website.
    a)there are 20 newer posts on the page One.
    b)there are 20 newer posts on the page Two. Page two is the same as the page One.

    Why page Two does not have older posts? I must missed something

    You don’t have to create page 2. WP will create that for you if posts is set as the home page in settings ? reading. If this isn’t for the home page, how are you getting the posts to show on a page?

    Webbrewers, I see. thank you!!! I am using custom community theme. there is an option that you can do it. it is one of theme option under the page.
