    Hello,

So recently since the update to WordPress 4.0, my WPP stopped working. The thumbnails on my widget are no longer appearing. I go into the widget section of WordPress and I see that the “display post thumbnail” is no longer checked. So I check it and press save, but then it reverts to the unchecked box.

Nothing I do can keep the box checked so that the thumbanils show. I’ve cleared cache, removed the widget, etc.

Any advice? The visual nature of the thumbnails is what makes this plugin so great.

  • I’m having the same issue as well. Every other option works as intended with the exception of the checkbox to add thumbnail. Once I select it and save it reverts back to the unchecked state.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

We resolved it on this install, the server didn’t have php5-gd installed, it was by chance we upgraded to WP4 and changed the server that this happened.

    To the OP:

I’m unable to activate the “Display post thumbnail” option. Why?
Please check that either the ImageMagick or GD extension is installed and enabled by your host.

Try contacting your hosting and ask them about this.
