Display Post Question

    Why is it so hard to display a simple post with content and read more link, i’ve scoured the WP forum and found many people wondering the same thing, i have not found a solution as of yet but many hacky hacks, there must be a simple method no ?

  • You don’t like the built in <!--more--> tag? It’s on your post editor’s toolbar.

    Have you seen Customizing_the_Read_More?

    Or is there more that you’d like to explain?

    sorry i wasn’t refering to the regular posts via the admin, i was refering to adding a single post (content) with read more link anywhere on the page in the footer in the sidebar any place

    found out why the more link wasn’t showing, i didn’t have a post page designated only a static page for the main page

    That’s why we have Pages in WordPress. I guess I’m not following what the issue is?
