display picture to facebook link from static homepage

I have a website with wordpress. I am trying to share a link to my static homepage on facebook, but when I do this, there is no picture next to my link(just the whitebox).

Is it even possible to have a picture show up when you send a link from your static homepage to facebook?

I can see a picture when I link to my blog page, but not when I try to link to my homepage.
