Display Past Events v Delete Expired Events

The first option allows you to include past events on (widget) calendars, event lists and event pages by default. (As opposed to just showing future events).

The latter will cause Event Organiser to routinely ‘clear up’ expired events (events whose last occurrence has finished), by deleting them.

Can you point me to where I can see examples of shortcode for the first option?
