Display order

  • It seems that the order variable isn’t working correctly. It’s displaying oldest posts first (ASC order) and when I set it to DESC (to display newest posts first) it doesn’t change.

    I went into the plugin file and added ‘orderby’ => ‘post_date’ to line 75 of plugins/recent-posts-widget-extended/includes/widget-recent-posts-extended.php and that seemed to work, but I don’t like editing plugin files because it’ll just get overwritten on an upgrade.

    Have you had any other posts about this issue? I’m not sure if it’s related to the 3.8 version of WP, because the plugin says it’s only compatible up to 3.6.1. Let me know if I missed something or if you have another solution, etc.

    But using your solution gave me a parse error:

    $args = array(
				'numberposts'	=> $limit,
				'category__in'	=> $cat,
				'tag__in'		=> $tag,

			    'orderby'	 => 'post_date'
