Display only Value of the text field

Hi!

There are two simple ways I can think of although they might not fit your use case:
– Use a message field in ACF to show the price in the form.
– Use a text field and set it as read only: https://ihatewp.com/easiest-way-to-make-acf-field-read-only/

As message field will only display value i put in Custom Fields

I need them to be able when adding new post to manually enter the price
and that price to be displayed on frontend in “readonly” mode. So only value is displayed, i don’t need input field on frontend for that field

You could use a message field and dynamically change its content with an ACF hook like: https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/acf-prepare_field/.

I’m not entirely sure I understand you setup though. Do you have a post for each possible configuration? If so, where do you determine which setup has been chosen?

Sorry i was off and on on this project.

Here is a quick video, the idea is that in backend i can put a price for the device, and that price is displayed in frontend in form of simple text, value can’t be changed.

I see what you’re trying to achieve!

I think you’ll need to do some custom development to achieve this. What you want is to update a real-time value based on form input from a user. The Pro version of AF has calculated fields that achieve exactly this. You can set up your own logic to take the selected inputs from the form and determine which price to display: https://advancedforms.github.io/pro/configuration/using-calculated-fields/. How you determine which price to display is up to you and outside the scope of AF.

If you’re not willing to buy a Pro license you can also implement it yourself. Wait for the selected values to change in Javascript and then send off an AJAX call to the server where you determine the price to show (this is exactly what the calculated fields do but automatically). This solution is not very specific to my plugin so I can’t offer much help on that.

Basically i don’t need any calculations. Just need simple input field in backend as shown for user to input price for four available conditions.

The price does not depend on anything selected above, it’s just for final knowledge what usere choosed.

So literally for each post i would have 4 input fields for each condition
And admin will just input the price for it

ex:
Like new – 40
Good – 30
Minor damage – 20
Damaged – 10

Basically, that’s all i need. And that to be displayed in plain text. And form to include it in final email that is delivered.
