• I have uploaded 850 products to the products page using an Excel sheet. When I set the pagination to display 25 per page and ask for the page navigation to be shown both at the top and bottom of the page, the products page does not display 25 products on the first page. It shows only 9. Also, it does not display the page navigation at the bottom. When I click on a product on the first page, it does not open the product page. All these work fine if I navigate to the second page onwards. From the second page onwards, when I click on a product, the product page opens but it closes by itself in a few seconds.

Also, when trying to modify products using the page, the navigation takes too long. Once I update a product, say add an image, and save it, the navigation takes me to the main page. To add another image, I need to click atleast 5-6 options before I can add another image. It would help if the navigation takes me back to the products page after an update to the product.

You could see this at https://www.bakerskraft.com/. Do look under the products page.

    Hi Ragh,

The products are being loaded, the problem seems to be that the re-sizing of the height jquery function isn’t working. Are there any errors from the theme/other plugins that could be preventing the jquery from running?

    Hi,

I removed a plugin called Fancybox which I was using. Now the products seem to be displaying fine. But when I click on the product, it is not opening the product pages. It throws up a “404 Page Not Found” error. Could you help me with this?

Also, could you help with the navigation issue? The sequence of clicks I come across to update multiple products is

    1. Choose Product Catalogue from WordPress Admin Menu
    2. Choose Categories
    3. Choose the required Category
    4. Choose the product to update
    5. Update product and save changes.

Once this happens, it goes to the Products page. I have to go through all the above steps to update another product. It would help if the navigation took me back to the Category page. That way, I would save a few clicks to go and update the products again. It can be a pain when one is updating a number of products at one go.

Another issue I am facing is that when I tick one of the categories in the products page, it displays the products belonging to that category. When I click on one of the products, it does not open the product page but takes me back to the menu. I am not sure why this is happening.

I’m having same issues. Having to set ‘fancy permalinks’ to No to get rid of 404 error.

Thanks, bstudio. I tried it and it is displaying the product page now. But in the product page where there is some description, it is spilling over into the footer of the page and is looking ugly. Any idea how to get rid of this?

    (@raghupatri)

Also, only the main image gets displayed. The additional images are not being displayed.

Something I overlooked previous: Must add ‘slug’ on product in order to use ‘fancy permalinks’. On ‘product page’ tab adjust fields for better formatting. Grab lower right corner of field(s) and extend down and align with other fields. This should fix your footer issue. Not sure about additional images, be sure to have ‘additional image’ field in place on ‘product page’ options tab.

Problem for me is lots of issues on mobile. Not responsive, missing categories, etc. How’s yours on mobile?

    (@raghupatri)

Thanks once again, bstudio, for your inputs. I have about 850 products. I am not sure if I would have the patience to update slugs for each and every one of them. I guess I will live without the “Fancy” permalinks for now. I tried what you suggested regarding the footer issue. Unfortunately, it is not working for me. The additional images are now being displayed. Not sure how.

On mobile, it is just not responsive as you mentioned. No categories, no product pages being displayed, lousy navigation…

The issues I would like fixed for now are:

    1. The product page does not display the description properly. It is spilling over to the footer and quite a bit of the text is not being displayed at the end.

    2. I have navigation issues to update multiple products. The sequence of clicks are as follows:

    1. Choose Product Catalogue from WordPress Admin Menu
    2. Choose Categories
    3. Choose the required Category
    4. Choose the product to update
    5. Update product and save changes.

Once this happens, it goes to the Products page. I have to go through all the above steps to update another product. It would help if the navigation took me back to the Category page. That way, I would save a few clicks to go and update the products again. It can be a pain when one is updating a number of products at one go.

    3. When I tick one of the categories on the products page, it displays the related products. When I click on one of the products in the category, it displays the product page. When I return back to categories using the link in the products page, the categories disappear except the one which I had ticked on. When I try to untick it, all the products get displayed but the categories on the left are still missing.

    4. The Search is not working properly for me. It works for some words and not for others. For eg., if I key in the word “cookie”, it searches for products with the word cookie in it. When I type in “kitchen”, it throws up nothing. I have around 50 products with the name “KitchenAid” in them. I have played around with the Search settings, using the Javascript and AJAX filtering but it does not work. Not sure why.

I would like to see some solutions for these issues from the developer. If I cannot get them, then I guess I will have to seriously look for another plug in to help with my products display.

I’m in the same boat raghupatri although not anywhere near your # of products. I really want this plug-in to work, it’s close but mobile issues mentioned are killing me.

I think you should mess around some more with product page formatting to see if you can work out footer issue. I had similar troubles and worked them out there. Maybe try different browser. It’s also possible that adjusting your csv import file will help with slugs/permalinks.

I’m using woocommerce on another site, it works well so far but I’m still in development. Also high price for csv upload extension($199), other functionality somewhat pricey and I had to jump through some hoops to get it to function proper with my theme.

    Hi ragh,

There are a few things we might be able to help with.

For the description overflow, you might need to make the content area larger if you’re using the custom product pages feature. You might also need to adjust the max-height via the “Custom CSS” box if the description is being cut off.

For the search issue, can you check that “case insensitive” is selected on the options page? That seems like it could be the cause of some of the problems.

For the mobile page issues, the custom pages are positioned absolutely, which is impossible to make responsive. If you use the default page for smaller screens, then it should be much more responsive.

    Dear Etoile,

I’ve tried all the suggestions made by you. I am still not able to resolve any of my issues on the site. I would appreciate it if you could check out my site and try out the issues I have raised. If you can help me out, I would appreciate it. If not, I will have to seriously consider switching to another plugin which can take care of the requirements. I’ve tried to give you as much feedback as I can. If you cannot help me, I can understand and I would appreciate you refunding my license fee.

    Hi Raghu,

1 – You’re using the custom product pages feature. The description area will be whatever size you set it on the “Product Pages” tab. If you make the description area bigger by dragging the corner, then it’ll stay on the page instead of overflowing. Alternatively, you can use the default product page and the CSS fix posted above.

2- We’ll add your suggested navigation to our feature request list.

3 – On the “Options” tab, if you set “Maintain Filtering” to “No”, then the box should no longer be ticked when returning to the page.

    (@raghupatri)

    Dear Rustauris,

Thank you for your update. I’ve tried setting the options based on what you have mentioned. Please find my comments on them below:

    1. I’ve played around a bit with the page settings and it seems to now display the entire description. I am not sure if it will play up for any of the products I add further but it seems to be fine as of now.

    2. I would appreciate you working out the navigation issues. It is quite inconvenient. I would be added a number of products down the line. It would really help if I can save a few clicks per update. It would mean a lot of inconvenience saved.

    3. I set the “Maintain Filtering” to “No”. Now I can see the categories when I return back to the categories page. Still, I would appreciate it if you could work on this issue for the future as it would help when one would like to maintain a filtering when returning to the categories page from the product page.

    4. The Search is still not working fine. I’ve played around with all the options and am still not able to sort it out. Let me give you an example so that you can understand the issue better. Kindly open the products page on my site https://www.bakerskraft.com. Type in “PEARLS” in caps in the search bar. It does not show anything. Now tick on the category “Sprinklers, Sugars & Dustings”. It will show you a list of 6 products. The pagination bar shows that there are 3 pages. If you navigate to the second page, it shows up nothing. Come back to page 1. Now untick the category. The products now again disappear. In my “Options” page, I have kept the “Filtering Type” to “Javascript Filtering”. Could you help with this?

I would also like to understand from you if I could get a Shopping Cart for the Ultimate Product Catelogue. I would like to activate the online purchase option soon. Kindly suggest what would work best with this.
