Display of GTIN on product variations

    I would like GTINs to display for the variations on products.

    At the moment only single product GTINs display and nothing is shown for the variation.

    Is it possible to show this… ina similar way to how SKU will change when a variation is selected.

    Hi, the GTIN variations will change if you add them in the options. It works fine for me, if they are not changing, there may be a conflict with another plugin.

    Hi, can you try deactivating any custom plugins to find which one is causing the conflict? I can try to fix it if I know what plugin is causing the problem.

    I think I have located the problem. You currently need to put an EAN for the product in the inventory tab (step 1) AND for each variation (step 2). If you don’t, the EAN variation won’t show.

    If you don’t, the container

    <span class="hwp-gtin">GTIN: <span>(The GTIN code)</span></span>

    isn’t created. And because of that, the jQuery cannot change the data.

    When I add the EAN/UPC will it be included in the google feed I generate ?
    And why not give the option the change the label from EAN to UPC for each product individually?

    Hello, I’m still not able to see UPC codes for variations on the product page. To clarify, each variation has a unique UPC code. I noticed in the instructions above that BOTH the UPC in the inventory tab AND the UPC in the variations tab should be entered. Is this intended for products with unique UPCs for variations? I can understand if a product that varies by size (like a t-shirt) would have the same UPC for all variations. But my products vary by color, and each color has a unique UPC code. Therefore each variation should have a unique UPC code.

    So I have two questions – is the plugin intended to work on products that have one UPC code for all variations? If a unique UPC for each variation is intended to work with this plugin, is there additional configuration/setup required?

    You have to set up one GTIN at product level (product data > inventory tab) for the parent (variable) product.

    After doing so all variation GTIN’s will show up correctly.

    I think this is a little bug in the plugin but I can live with it.

    Thanks for your reply! I’ve tried that – but still don’t see the UPC.

    To recap – I’ve set up the product with UPC ending in 70 on the inventory tab for the parent product, then also set up UPC on each variation (UPC ending in 68 for variation 1 and UPC ending in 70 for variation 2). But I’ve checked the product page and don’t see UPC anywhere.
