Display of "events" with filtering option

Hello and congrats for the plugin.

I have not yet installed / tried it, as I would like to make the following question first and see if it can be used for my application:

I have a certain custom post type, let’s call it “events” which have fields of Country, City, Category (let’s say CatA, CatB, CatB) and Date.

What I am interested to do is to have them displayed on a world-wide map, but to automatically show only upcoming events. Furthermore, I would like for the user to be able to filter what is being shown by “category” as well as by “country”.

Is such an application doable with GP Geo?
