Trying to add a new author. It’s being mapped from an existing WP user profile. I’m trying to save it but I cannot because I get the following error message:

Please complete the following required fields to save your changes:

    • Display name publicly as is required *

I can’t edit anything in that field and I’m stumped as to why.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@databell96 Honestly, this behavior is not typical for our plugin. As you also cannot replicate this on other site. The situation appears to be more complex and may require further troubleshooting.

Unfortunately, asking for login details is against the guidelines of this forum (www.remarpro.com?Forum Guidelines).

Our Pro users have the advantage of accessing our private helpdesk, allowing for direct troubleshooting on their sites.

Considering the complexity of the issue, we recommend upgrading to the Pro version so we can address and troubleshoot it directly on your site.

If you prefer to keep using the free version, we will need the exact steps on replicating this on fresh WordPress installation.

So I think I found the problem. Sort of. I deleted his profile in Authors and did it as a Registered User with User Account. Which he is. Now I see his name in the Display Name Publicly As instead of blank. So now I can update his profile. My only issue left is in the Author Box, it’s displaying his username (which happens to be his email address in this case) instead of his display name. Here’s his article: https://fwtmagazine.com/viennas-wurstels-the-timeless-austrian-street-food/

@databell96 I’m glad you found the problem anyway!

For your author box, I can see the display name just fine, can you please have a check again?
