in my case it is not a date, just a value, but I think I understand enough of what you are doing to change that.

Yes, the basic structure in that tutorial should work for any meta value.

• Change the two instances of include_event_date to whatever parameter you’d like to use
• Find/replace $event_date to something that better describes your value
• Change the $key to whatever meta key you are using
• Remove the line where I convert the UNIX timestamp to a formatted date
• Change the <span class=”event-date> to something that better describes it
