Display gpx track on map in zoom = fitbounds-1

    I would like to display the gpx route on the map by default in automatic zoom adjustment, but at a zoom one level lower than the fitbounds option, i.e. fitbounds-1, so that the gpx route is not stretched to the borders of the window. Is this possible?

    The display of the track and the zoom is strongly dependent on the screen size. Test it with different screensizes with the developer tools of your browser. I have tried to document this.

    Yes, I am familiar with this document. Still, I would like to force whatever window size is used to reduce the map zoom by one level.
