• Hey,

I would like to display the pages like in the loop (on the front page). I love that there are a lot of parameters and I guess one can “re-build” the look of the loop with it, but maybe there’s an easier way?! In other words, I want to list posts according to some parameters, but the list should look like on the front page/in the loop.

    Thanks!

    Hi

So you would like to use this plugin to edit the main blog page query? This is not possible right now and we are not planning to implement it. I will save this as a feature request for future releases.

    Cheers

    Hi,

thank you for your quick reply. No, I was planning to use it on a page, just that it looks like in the loop.

    Cheers

Just to be clear: every display of posts, be it on a main posts page or using this plugin, is “within The Loop”. What I assume you mean is to display posts using the default blog layout of a theme.

Since every theme has its own template to display a blog page and those templates vary greatly this plugin cannnot effectively implement the feature you describe.

However, if you are a bit familiar with PHP you could follow this plugin’s documentation to create a custom template and then based on your theme’s code (you probably want to check out home.php) make this template recreate the theme’s behavior.
