    Hi there,

    I’ve got a strange issue on the site above which has been there for some time now, just really trying to get to the bottom of it.

    We have a plugin that displays tabbed content, as can be seen on this page on the staging environment of the same site. The problem is..it’s not displaying on live. It always used to, and we can’t see anything that has changed in the mean time. If I redeploy from live to staging it still works fine in staging, but never the other way around.

    I’ve tried all the usual things – default theme, deactivating other plugins etc, but no luck.

    The developers of the tab plugin itself have been unable to find anything, and everything I am checking is pointing to Autoptimize being the issue. But, I am having issues finding a fix. On staging, I can see that the Div element that has the tabbed content is with Autoptimize (see here). I tried deactivating autoptimize and also renaming that file to .bak, but neither had any effect.

    Hoping you may be able to advise here!

    Thanks

    weird … I don’t think Autoptimize is involved though;
    * it works on staging with AO enabled
    * it does not work on production without AO (you can test that on-the-fly by adding ?ao_noptimize=1 to the URL

    I’ll look at this later today to see if I can identify what is wrong instead (I think some CSS issue somehow, but nothing concrete)

    I had a closer look, it’s not CSS or even JS, the HTML of the tabbed element is simply missing from the production HTML source @joshbedford (search for <ul class="wpsm_nav wpsm_nav-tabs" role="tablist") both with and without AO optimization active. so a problem with visual composer or a missing VC-plugin maybe?

    Hi, thanks so much for taking a look at this so quickly!

    What I’m confused by is the fact that staging is an absolute clone of the live site – the only difference being that staging isn’t cached, so it’s really hard to figure out what’s going on here!

    I’m take a look at VC though – thanks!
