• Hi,

I love the plugin but I’m struggling with displaying it inline. I want to have it displayed in a sentence, without any line break. How to achieve that (with CSS I presume)?

Yeah! Can this be applied for the countdown?

    Ah, sorry, wrong plugin.
So, you simply want to show a countdown in the middle of a sentence. Share more on how this might look like. Would it only be text, or would the countdown have some styling to it? Inline text: so one can assume there would be no animation, just a changing countdown, correct? What should happen when the countdown reaches 00:00:00? What about the ability to omit time units such as years, weeks, days, etc… (?)

Paint a concise picture of the use case.

I seem to recall a kind of text-only countdown style, but this was years ago. Not sure if it was in the free or the pro version. But it does not seem like it would not be too hard to implement a very, very basic text-only countdown that could be displayed inline.

I want to achieve a top bar like here: https://assets-global.website-files.com/5b5729421aca332c60585f78/6181a8c0d9cb9009f7996944_nectar-count-down-sticky-flash-sale-banner-example.png

When it reaches 00:00 I will programatically restart it (unless you want to add a repeat / recurring option ;). I have a script that sets automated discounts based on current sales.

I played around with trying to do this with CSS, and it’s not really set up to do that without overhauling the code.

The codebase of this plugin is 15 years old. For sure there is another plugin out there that better fits your needs. If you can find nothing, ping back and we’ll look into it a bit deeper.

Do post back with your findings.

Thanks for checking, I’m very impressed with how instant is your support ??

I spent the whole day today looking at countdown plugins and they are all either not compatible with current WP, ugly, clunky (no inline) or designed for specific builders like elementor or gutenberg (I use themify builder). Yours seemed the best, that’s unfortunate it would need an overhaul ??
