Display images from a folder

  • Hi,

    I have 2 IP webcams that are uploading images to an FTP directory on the server, please could you let me know if its possible to get WordPress to automatically display / refresh these images?

    As these are not my cameras I have little control, the first camera ftps the file into a directory called cam1\image.jpg but the second feed seems to use (somewhat random) files names in a directory called cam2

    Anyone any ideas please

  • You’re not going to get WP to handle the images for you itself but there’s nothing stopping you from writing 1 or more PHP scripts that pulled images from these folders and then including the script(s) in a theme template file.

    Thanks for the reply, thats a bit beyond my ability but I have noticed there is a PHP widget so i could put some php code in the sidebar…. dont suppose anyone could let me know what code I should be putting in (i know how to change the file paths ?? )
