I would like to be able to display icons in the calendar itself right before the time.

    Is this possible?

If not, Could you consider this as an enhancement?

I can send an image of what I am talking about if you want.

An image would help; I can’t think of any reason you couldn’t do that using CSS, but I’m not 100% sure what you’re looking at doing.

Not trying to hijack this thread, but I think they are wanting to do the same thing I was looking for an answer for.

Is there a way to show the featured image as a thumbnail in the calendar listing so the user doesn’t have to click on the event to see it?

My wife has an art studio and offers art and craft classes and we’d like to show a thumbnail of the project not only on the main calendar page but also we use the upcoming events shortcode to display a list of upcoming classes on our frontpage and would like to be able to show a thumbnail of that class along side the listing. Can this be done?

Yes, that’s certainly possible. You can use the image template tag to produce that. https://docs.joedolson.com/my-calendar/2018/03/04/template-tag-index/

    I tried this:
    [my_calendar id=”my-calendar” template=”{image} {title before=”<h3>” after=”</h3>”} {time}”]
But it did not change anything in my calendar: https://elks901.org/wp/calendar-of-events/

Here is an image of a calendar I am trying to replicate with little icons within the calendar: https://elks901.org/wp/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/cal_icon.jpg

    Thank you.

    Michel
