Display friendly events

You can use the event_list shortcode and set the format variable as friendly ( format="friendly" ).

So I cannot use it in a calendar, only list?

Sorry but I dont have that file in my setup

There should be inside /plugins/sportspress/templates/. Just copy it from there and add it to /your-child-theme/sportspress/ folder and make the alterations ??

Ok, found it now but should that file be placed directly in the path you mentioned (/your-child-theme/sportspress/) and then both friendly and competitive games should be displayed?

I tried to both update the original file under /plugins/sportspress/templates/ and then placed it in /my-child-theme/sportspress/ but that does not display friendly events in the calendar shortcuts.

Do not update the original file under /plugins/sportspress/templates/
It will get over-written wehn the plugin updates.

Does your site already have a child theme?
If it does not, you need to create one.

After your child theme is created, add a new folder to it called /sportspress/
So you should have:
/wp-content/themes/<name-of-your-child-theme>/
as well as:
/wp-content/themes/<name-of-your-child-theme>/sportspress/

Yes I have a child theme and I have placed the file where you mentioned but the fix does not display friendly games

For the solution I proposed you need to follow these steps:
1. Copy the current event-calendar.php template from your plugins/sportspress/templates/ folder to your-child-theme/sportspress/ folder.
2. Make the alterations needed to this file inside you child theme as proposed in the above commit.
3. Use the event_calendar shortcode adding also the friendly field format="friendly".

I copied the new checked in version (2.80) from github and created the file even-calendar.php, I then placed that file in my-child-theme/sportspress folder. But I did not use the format=”friendly”. If I do that then it works :).

Is it possible to display both friendly and competitive in the same calendar?

Can you try all instead of friendly?
