    the page shows pictures with their jpeg names but when you right click and save as it uses the photo id # so i would have to type in the correct photo name.

    You did it right. When you click on the image, you get the slideshow with the download link below it. Click the download link and save the image via right click. It will have the original name.

    This is how this kind of content management systems work

    Look at a real example on twitter (National geographic): An image when right clicking is named BwldBr4r.jpg,
    while the original name is 01-cave-art-GettyImages-118121674.adapt.768.1.jpg
