Display File Name

    Testing the plugin for first time today. Uploaded two files of .gpx file type
    but on file display the file name does not show to the user.

    What have I missed to display the file name of the uploaded file??

    Hi,

    It seems like the files have not been successfully uploaded. Could you give us a temporary admin access to your site, so we could investigate the issue further? You can send us the credentials at https://www.sharedfilespro.com/support/.

    You seem to be correct SORT of. The files were uploaded and I could find them thru the ADMIN access, but they had no NAMES just file size. I believe I got a message on upload of “File Type Not Allowed” so that must have prevented the NAME from being accepted but file contents were saved – just not being displayed to users.
    I deleted the UNNamed files and tried UPLOAD again. Same “not allowed” message. The File type is .gpx for GPS navigation..
    Can I add the .gpx file type to be acceptable for upload??

    WordPress restricts the file types that are allowed by default, but there are ways to allow more file types. If you search Google for something like ‘wordpress allow more file types’, you’ll see various different solutions to this.

    This plugin doesn’t have that functionality (at least not yet) to allow those additional file types, so it is needed to use another plugin / method for that for now.
