Display excerpt on the source page

    Is it possible to have the excerpt for a given page be displayed in the body of the same page? Thus, for page 3456, the custom excerpt is displayed in the body of page 3456.

    I’ve tried this but no success. Is there a workaround?

    The problem is there’s no great way to tell whether the excerpt itself has a shortcode embedding the same page, which would lead to infinite recursion as Insert Pages keeps trying to insert the page into itself. For this reason the plugin prevents inserting a page into itself.
