Display excerpt and featured image for each post

  • In the Ixion theme, the standard display for the “Recent Posts” section on the home page is to only show the post title and date. I’d like to display the post excerpt along with the featured image for each post.

    I’ve tried adding the “more” tag, added an excerpt, and added the featured image, but have not been able to get the excerpt and featured image to display.

    From what I read on the WordPress.com support forum for their version of the Ixion theme, this is possible through the setting of Customize > Content Options > Blog Display.

    The “Content Options” option doesn’t display under the Customizer.

    Are the two themes (the one on WordPress.com and www.remarpro.com) different in the features they support?

    Am I missing changing some option?
