    Hi there,

Maybe I am blind but I couldn’t find any sane information on how to display events only of particular category.

What I need is.. on page /apple-events I want to display only events within category “apple”.
On page /banana-events I need to display only events that are in “banana” category.

How can I do that? I use my own page template and just use event-manager shortcodes such as [events_list limit=3 pagination=1 category=banana ][/events_list]
But it wont work.. it’s empty

What am I missing here? Does this plugin support category filtering out of the box?

Thank you so much in advance

  • I think what you need to do is use the category ID.. not the slug..

Hm.. I think I tried that and it didn’t work at first. I tried it again.. and I think the reason I didnt see the “test event” was because I published it as a “draft”. I still expected it to display but it didn’t.. weird.

Gonna play around and see how it works..

    Thanks Robswaimea

actually I stand corrected.. I think “slug” will work, but for some reason I just seem to recall answers to this question all say to use category id.
Try slug with a published event… it should work. If not try the id.
I also wrap my “category” ala “bannana” in quotes, same for id.. not sure if that makes a difference.

Draft.. maybe.. there is a pending option, not sure if that would work for “draft”.
You are basically performing a “search” with your shortcodes.
    that would be status=XX

Here is the link for search attributes.. if perhaps you missed it.

    Good luck ??
