I found some errors in the checkout page, screenshot is attached.

    Screenshot

Error 1: The payment option is displayed twice. Unfortunately I can’t specify where the payment option is displayed.
Error 2: Although in the translation (loco translator) some German words start with a capital letter, in the checkout page all words are written in lower case.
Error 3. Some texts are shifted into each other. Unfortunately the full width of this column is not used.

I suspect that some errors may be caused by the plugin Germanized. The plugin is necessary to meet the German legal requirements.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Também estou com o mesmo problema, uso o tema AORA, e ja fiz várias motifica??es mas ainda continuo com o mesmo problema.

I have the same problem. It happens because of Germanized.
I made a video to show the problem:

Would be great if this gets fixed, because the plugin otherwise looks great ??
    Thank you!

    Hi @phil94,

    Thanks, I’ll check it out.

Edit: Seems like it should not be too difficult to fix this. Thanks for the great explanation video, it helps a lot to actually see what is happening ??

    Hi @asafegois1,

Could you confirm if you are also using the plugin “Germanized for WooCommerce”?

If not, could you take a screenshot or make a video?

    Hi guys,

I can confirm it, as soon as I deactivate the Germanized Plugin everything works fine.

I also got a feedback from Germanized developer.

Due to German law, the listing/arrangement of the products must be after specifying the payment and accepting the general terms and conditions.

Here is the legal proper order:
    First: Payment
Then: Notice about the terms and conditions
Last: Exact listing of the products to be purchased

Here is an article why Germanized Plugin changed the arrangement, the article is in German but can be translated to English.

    Cheers
    Sam

Hello Diego versiani, I thank you so much for your help, below is the problem I’m facing at the moment, I don’t use the Germanized plugin for WooCommerce, the wordpress theme I use at the moment is Aora – Home & Lifestyle Elementor WooCommerce Theme.

    Hi @asafegois1,

Ok. Although this seems to be the same problem, the solution is I’m working on at the moment is only related to compatibility with Germanized.

To help me keep organized with the support threads, could you kindly open a new one for “Compatibility with theme Aora by Thembay”?

Since Aora is a paid theme, I’ll contact the theme authors and ask for a free copy for development purposes.

Also, your video did not load.

    Thanks in advance,
    Diego

    Hi @dersam77 & @phil94,

This is what I could get the checkout page looking so far with Germanized activated:

    https://t2449427.p.clickup-attachments.com/t2449427/76175c0f-9bed-4e0e-896f-69a813d5b525/fc-germanized.png?view=open

I know it does not look very good at the moment, but I wanted to check with you if the positions and order of the checkout elements would be compliant like this.

I read the Vendidero/Germanized article, but it does not say what other layouts would be compliant, only that theirs work well.

More specifically, my concern is about the payment methods (on the left) being separated from the order details (on the right). Would that be compliant with the German Market regulations?

    Diego

    Hello Diego,

thanks for your reply and the fast modification.

Yes, that looks good. I think as long as the texts from Germanized are shown and the payment methods are not shown twice, that’s fine!

    Just one more question:
Is it currently possible to add my own text below the “buy now” button? Because I use that in the existing WooCommerce checkout to add some more legal texts which are not provided by Germanized.
You can have a look here: https://dog-native.de/
Just add a product to the cart and go to the checkout. Then you can see some text below the buy now button.

    Thank you!

    Kind regards,
    Philipp

I think it looks great. However, probably a single column display, as an alternative, for the sake of legal certainty would be better. I have attached a screenshot of how Amazon Germany does it and they also list everything in one column, in the second column they write order overview and insert a second “buy now” button. If Fluid Checkout would adopt the same design, I’m sure a lot of users would use this plugin. Because every online marketing expert recommends to build the webshop as similar as possible to Amazon, because people already know this design.

    Hi @dersam77 & @phil94,

I fixed the style issues for the checkboxes and the products list.

Could you test it with the beta version 1.3.0-beta-4 to make sure prices and product info is displayed correctly?

@dersam77, about the suggested layout similar to Amazon, I added it to our backlog as a feature request and will look into this when possible.

    Hello @diegoversiani,

thank you. It looks much better now.
There is just a small bug where the lower text is sometimes hidden. I made a video: https://www.loom.com/share/41d5894b1d564c87a8bd84e629332a22

You can also see it in my staging environment.

    Hi @phil94,

    Great ??

This bug happens when the order summary section (right) is taller than the content side (left).

For now, you can solve this by making the order summary section static, scrolling with the rest of the page. To do so:

    1. Go to WP Admin > WooCommerce > Settings > Fluid Checkout > Advanced
    2. In the Advanced section, find the checkbox “Make the order summary stay visible while scrolling” in Layout > Order summary, and uncheck the checkbox (see screenshot)
    3. Save the changes

I’ll release the new version (1.3.0) as is, and work on fixing this bug as soon as possible.

You may want to change the password for the staging site as this forum is public, and also because the URL seems to redirect to the main domain.

    Best,
    Diego
