display description text on single-unit.php

    I need to some help with a frustrating problem… I’ve started a custom WP theme that is based on the default CoursePress theme from the plugin directory. We have a course set up with several units, and we are trying to preview the course. Each unit is made up of multiple elements including images, text, questions, etc. When I preview a unit, none of the “Text” elements are being displayed. Instead they say “… Read More”. This seems to be an excerpt problem, but where is this defined? I changed the excerpt_length in functions but this did NOT fix the problem. I know that single-unit.php is the page being called to display the unit, but I cannot figure out why it’s only displaying an excerpt. If I delete single-unit.php then then description text displays correctly. It also displays correctly using a default WP theme. It’s only when using the template provided by CoursePress that this text is not displayed.

    Could you upload your customized theme to any file sharing service like dropbox or gdrive and share download link here so we can test it out and check what could be causing this for you?

    I should have been more clear in my initial post. The problem is not limited to my custom theme. This exact same problem happens using the unmodified CoursePress theme. My custom theme so far has only changed the visual styles. There have been no edits to the code for each page. The problem is in the unmodified CoursePress theme you provide.

    I can’t reproduce the same on my site. Would you please deactivate all the other plugins again and try to preview the Unit. Just to clarify, the issue is only when you are previewing the unit, right? Once you login as a student the units showed with no issue?

    If everything is well, activate one plugin at a time to find the one that causes this.

    Would you please also post some screenshots so we could see it?
