Display Custom fields at the startpage

Hello and Good Morning,
i use your template, its really amazing.

I have one question, hope you can help me.
Actually – if i look to the Main Page of your template, i get by clicking the link of a post, directly to the post.

I want to split that with custom fields, so that i have one link on the left site, where i get direct to the post, and a second link on the right side, where i get to an external page by clicking.

i have heard, that i can manage that with custom fields, which i have already done, but it isnt shown at the page.

do you know where i have to put the <?php the_meta(); ?> in to have the external link displayed in addition ?
