Hello, is it possible with this plug-in to display the current parent menu item, followed by all of its children? I can get the current submenu to display but can’t figure out how to get the parent too. Thank you.

    Hey @rudegoose,

Unfortunately that is not an option in this plugin. It is something I’ve been meaning to incorporate as it has been requested a number of times in the past, but I haven’t yet done so.

    Maybe/Hopefully in Q1 next year!

In the meantime, you might be able to accomplish your task using Get Post Ancestors. The major caveat here is that this function doesn’t look at the menu structure, it looks at the page hierarchy, so it will only help you if your page structure and menu structure ‘match’.

Thanks so much Matt for the response. I am getting the right effect already using BE Subpages Widget, but was hoping to get away from exactly what you mention – the requirement to have the page hierarchy echo the navigation structure. Thanks anyway for a great plug-in. Maybe I’ll be able to swap next year and make life a bit easier for the admins!
