Display cart contents/total only when an item is selected

I’ve inserted the Show cart contents/total into my theme following this woocommerce tutorial: https://docs.woothemes.com/document/show-cart-contents-total/
Is it possible to display the cart contents/total only when cart is not empty? For example with an if statement or something similar.
