I’m not sure how but a client of mine’s WordPress website is completely blank including the site/wp-admin pages. I’m not exactly sure when this happened, they notified me yesterday.

At first, I thought perhaps someone changed a setting in the database but I checked and everything appears to be as it should. To my knowledge, they haven’t upgraded to the last release so I’m at a lost as to what’s happen.

Anyone have a suggestion as to what I should check?

  • Hi,

    Check with these options:

    – Upgrade your wordpress to the latest version
    – Disable all the plugins and enable it one be one to find out the culprited one.
    – Change your theme to default in order to rules out theme level issue.
    – Remove all unwanted code from htaccess

    Thanks,

Thanks Shane. My problem though is I can’t access any of the pages to do the first three you suggested. When I attempted to upgrade all I received was a blank page when I went to wp-admin/upgrade.php.

Any other ideas? At this point, I’m wondering if it’s even a WordPress issue. Their hosted on a Windows server.

    Hi,

You can upgrade wordpress manually. Also disable plugins with the help of FTP to yor wordpress blog directory and rename the plugins directory.

    Thanks,

    Shane G.

Already tried the manual upgrade and still received a blank page so I’m contacting the host today to see if it’s something on their end. Thanks for the responses Shane.
