Display author and date (Twenty Seventeen)

    Hi,

    I appreciate this plugin a lot. I encounter however one issue with the Twenty Seventeen theme. If I write a WP article (A “news” for example), the theme displays the date and the author of the post. But not with the posts written as the CPT I created with CPT UI. I understand that authors and date display is handled by the theme. But why does it display these informations with a WP PT but not with a CPT ?

    Hey @golazphil,

    I would check out the first part of twentyseventeen/template-parts/post/content.php around line 23.

    Nothing that CPTUI is doing still, just happens to be how TwentySeventeen is coded. They did a design decision to only output dates/authors for the “post” post type. If you’re doing a child theme, you should be able to easily copy this file into the child theme and amend as needed to fit your site goals.
