Display archives as gallery?

  • I wonder if someone can point me in the right direction to display media_category archives as a gallery?

    I’ve had no problem making a template to just display the images and add the captions on my media_category archives and then using css to display them in a nice responsive grid, however in this scenario, each image is clickable to get the file but the images are not navigable in a nice gallery format.

    On the other hand, I have found a way to display a gallery for a media_category on a page – but it just dumps all the images, there’s no pagination.

    So how might I reunite these and get the best of both worlds? I suspect an additional plugin might be required?

    You may be right about needing a plugin for pagination. If you go to the Plugins page, and enter “pagination” as the search term, you’ll get 98 pages of result. You might find the one you need on the first page or two.
