For your sidebar question use the text widget, and paste the code as usual. Try it with the [embedyt]…[/embedyt] shortcode method. Also, if you use the Black Studio Widget instead, it should be even easier because it should include our wizard button to easily insert code. Don’t forget to add the strong>layout gallery parameter as mentioned in our directions and video.
Finally, we are concerned about your previous usage of “this player” in:
“this player only shows views…”
Please do not mix the player with the PRO analytics dashboard. This plugin deploys the standard YouTube player and not some separate or different kind of YouTube embed. Therefore, the player does not do anything different with YouTube views.
The analytics dashboard is just an add-on display of certain site-specific stats that can be added to PRO instances.
