• Happy new year to all.

I would like to capture and display an additional field in my comments form. I’ve tried the Extra Comments Field plug-in, which has a problem displaying the additional field after a comment has been edited (no reply from plug-in designer since July last year so I assume it is no longer supported). I’ve tried adding a new field to a cforms comment form. The field displays ok and appears to capture it too (at least it doesn’t come back with an error), but how do I display the comments that have been captured by my cform? I’ve tried searching for ‘display additional field captured by cform’ and just can’t get a decent search result!

    Any help much appreciated.

Hmmm, perhaps I should rephrase the above problem because it seems it is not a problem with either the Extra Comments Field plug-in I mentioned, or cforms either.

The problem is losing the additional field when editing a comment. I have a number of comments I need to backdate, and each comment has an additional field ‘location’. This displays ok if I don’t don’t touch the comment but when I edit a comment that additional field is not displayed and the field is lost when I save the edit.

Is there a work-around for this?

I am also looking for the similar solution. Is there any plugin available for version 2.7 and above to add extra field to comments form.

I’m also looking to add a field to the comments form and then to display what the user has input, along with the comment. Any pointers? I’ve read that the Idea Shower plug-in is no longer supported…
