    Hello,

I am a user of Metafieldblock Pro, and I can’t get the display of an ACF repeater field to work.

When I select my repeater field, the block does not transform into a layout block as shown in the explanation video. It remains a text block, and I cannot access the fields within the repeater.

When I preview the page, the block displays: “This type of data is not supported! Please contact the author for assistance.”

I also noticed that the display in the API is enabled for the field group, yet the field names do not appear when I select the Metafieldblock from my page template.

    Can you help me?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello @florentgoumy,

If you are displaying a meta field in the template editor, you need to choose a specific value (not an auto value) for the meta type setting. For example, if you are displaying a post meta field, then the meta type should be ‘post’. Then, input the ID of a sample post that has sample data for the field. Once your field name appears in the list of suggested names, MFB will be able to display it in the template editor. You can learn more about it in the following video guide:

Feel free to contact me if you need further assistance. Alternatively, you can create a support ticket on the plugin’s settings page and provide me with an admin account to your test site. I will help you set it up.

    Best, Phi.

    Hello Phi,

    Thank you for your response.

I followed the instructions from the video and specified a specific value for the meta type setting. I also provided the ID of a sample post: I can see that the meta field block correctly identifies the post, and the custom fields are listed as expected.

However, I’m still experiencing the same issue. The meta field block does not transform into a layout, and the contents inside the repeater are not displayed. I continue to see the message: “This type of data is not supported! Please contact the author for assistance.”

Do you have any other suggestions that might help resolve this issue?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

    Hello Florent @florentgoumy,

Have you tried to reload the page and re-input the field? It could be a cache issue here. If you still get the issue, please provide me with an admin account to your test site, I can help with the setup.

    Best, Phi.
