Display a post with no details

  • Hello,

    I was wondering if it is possible to display a post (its core and title) without the little details such as Author, category etc… I only want the date to be displayed. Any help please?

    yes, it is possible to edit the theme files to change what is displayed.

    i can’t offer specific help based on the information you provided.

    start looking into the content.php or loop.php file.
    each theme is different so i don’t know how your theme handles it but that’s where I would start for most.

    be sure to use a child theme before making any template files.

    I thought it was more simple like a setting or something related to wordpress itself ??

    maybe your selected theme has this controllable in theme options area.

    you could use CSS to make the text invisible, but it’s a better approach to make the change to the template files.

    i use a (paid) plugin to fine tune display of posts, but it might not be suitable for your situation or you if all you really want to do is hide the post meta data.
